PHMA
is the Protective Headgear
Manufacturers' Association,
a voluntary, not-for-profit organization of manufacturers
of headgear for non-motorized
sports. PHMA was established in 1994 with a mission
to help reduce the risk of head injury through education,
promotion of headgear use, and support of programs that
may lead to further reduction of head injury.
Policy decisions are handled by PHMA's Board of Directors,
as directed by the membership, which consists of leading
representatives from the headgear manufacturing industry.
